ACE METHODS TO BE GOOD TEACHERS

Good teachers expected able to help the student to be good students not only in academic but also in character. If the teachers unable to be  goods teacher, how come they  brought up their student to be good student?  Therefore, it is important to know the methods how to be good teachers.

There are several things that teachers must do to be  good teachers, that are :

1.      The teachers must foreknow the material what will teached before they teach a subject. They must prepare the methods that will be used to teach and prepare the teaching aid to help the student understand the material. Also, they can predict what would be troubles in the process of learning activity.

For example the teachers understand that today they will give a lesson about perimeter and area of planes.  And then they prepare the aid such as a various plane things.

2.      The teacher must develop their personal competence. To develop it, they must learning and training their knowledge about education and increase their ability in the subject what they teach.

For example mathematics teacher dig their ability up  in mathematics in order to increase their competence in that subject. In addition the teacher is must find out how to teach well.

3.      The teachers need to understand the international theories. So, they not only use the existing theory but also use the other theories from various source. The teacher find out the theories that applied in other countries. If that theories suitable with the condition of education in their own country that theories can be addapted.

For example Indonesian teacher seek about the theories that applied in Australia by comparative study or find out from written sources and internet. 

4.      The teacher must combining the culture with the material what will they teached. Its purpose is to introduce their own culture beside  the student understand the material.

For example Indonesian culture that related with mathematics is the shape of  borobudur temple that look-like pyramid  in order that the temple will firm. This case has relationship with geometry.

5.      The teacher must know how to manage the deferences of competence that the student have and they must posturing that deferences and find the solution for that problem.

For example in a class there are student that easy to understand the lesson and hard to understand the lesson. The solution is there is no grade in other word the system is flow and the teacher give worksheet that suitable with the ability of each students.

All of the teacher highly expected do all of that things above so they can be good teachers.
